Dr Jürgen Bode is the Vice President of Precision Optics and is based in Wetzlar, Germany. Originally from Göttingen, Germany, he attended Georg-August Univerity, Göttingen and holds a PhD degree in Physics. In 2002 he obtained a MBA degree from the University Bradford, UK. Before joining Satisloh in 2016, he worked for Hoechst, Schott, Prezero and Roth&Rau in various management functions.

Through his work, Jürgen contributes to the art of making lenses by supporting his team in developing and producing the best equipment for lens making. His favorite parts of working at Satisloh include the technology development and innovation, the international environment as well as the culture of getting things done. 

His dream career as a young man of being a professional soccer player is very different to his current role with Satisloh. However, now if Jürgen could have any other fantasy career, he would like to win the Nobel Prize in physics. If he could choose to do anything for a day, you would find him on the beach with a cold drink in his hand.
