Xavier Maillard is the Head of Region for Europe, Middle East and India. He has been with Satisloh since 2009 and is based at the headquarters in Baar, Switzerland. With a background in mechanical engineering, Xavier has a passion for international business and technical products. Throughout his 25-year career in the ophthalmic industry, he has held diverse roles, including Supply Chain Management and Strategic Purchasing. His journey at Satisloh started in Sales and Key Account Management, where he cultivated strong relationships with customers across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and India.

Xavier finds immense satisfaction in building long-term business relationships and supporting the growth of Satisloh’s customers. He thrives on developing his team and empowering individuals. His role is pivotal in contributing to the art of making lenses by ensuring the seamless delivery and support of Satisloh’s manufacturing solutions to customers in diverse locations.

Outside of work, Xavier is a true outdoors enthusiast. He enjoys a wide range of activities, including swimming, windsurfing, hiking and skiing. He is also an avid reader, with “The One Thing” being his most recent read. He appreciates the book’s emphasis on simplifying and prioritizing to achieve efficiency while also making time for what truly matters.
